Dahi vada (lentil dumplings) is a popular Indian chaat, prepared by
soaking vadas in thick dahi. The hot deep fried vadas are first soaked
in water and then transferred to thick beaten yogurt. These are great as
a side dish for a formal dinners. lentil dumpling in yougurt sauce
DAHI VADA
Ingredients
For vada - Clean, wash and soak the dal overnight.
Grind it into smooth paste.
Add salt to taste.
Heat oil in a pan and drop a spoonfuls of batter and fry till golden brown as shown.
Take the hot vadas and put in cold water for 2-3 minutes.
Now Take them out of water and squeeze the water and keep aside.
For Dahi -add cumin , gr chilli,coriander leaves
blend and add to yogurt and season
Serving - In a deep dish arrange wada and pour dahi over them.
Garnish with tempering as shown
Serve the dahi vadas chilled.
DAHI VADA

- 1 cup Urad daal
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 5 leaf curry leaves
- 500 ml Dahi (yogurt)
- 1 bunch Finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1-2 no green chilies chopped to taste hing to fry Oil
- 2 piece Red chili
- 1 to taste Salt
