Idli Peanut Chutney


This fiery recipe is very easy to make and share with your family ,friend. It tastes great with Idlis (steamed South Indian rice cakes) and Dosas (crispy savory South Indian rice pancakes). You can have it dry or add some tamarind juice to make a delicious tangy-hot dip too!
Ingredients

  • Garlic 6
  • Peanuts (roasted) 200 g
  • Mustard seeds ¼ ts
  • Cumin seeds ¼ ts
  • Urad daal 2 tb
  • Curry leaves 3 sp


  • Salt

  • Oil 2tb
  • Tamarind juice ¼ cup
  • Hing pinch Option
  • Chilly powder 1 ½ tb


Method

Heat oil in a pan add garlic, roasted peanuts, red chilly powder, tamarind juice, salt, mix this all together, switch off the flame, put it into the blender and make a paste.


For tempering heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds is splutter, add cumin seeds, Urad daal, , add hing, curry leaves, roast this till Urad daal is golden in colour, let it cool down put it into the blender make a coarse powder.

Take a bowl add peanuts garlic paste and add the tempering mixture, mix it well.

Serve this with idli, upma.
