Tomato with ambada ke bhaji Daal or Tuva daal or channa daal is an excellent stew made with lentils cooked in tomatoes. This recipe is immensely simple to make and the taste is out of this world. Indian lentil cooked with ambada ke baajji, Gongura daal, tomato pappu.

Ingredients


Toor daal 1 Cup
Ambada or Gongura 2 cup
Mustard seeds 3/4 tsp
Salt To Taste
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
whole Red Chillies 4 
Tomatoes (chopped) 100 Grams
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
curry leaves 12
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Garlic (crushed)flakes 8 
Green Chillies (slit into half & seeded) 4 
Onions (finely chopped) 1

 Method

Wash gongura and keep it a side.

Put daal in a pan and cook Add oil add garlic, onion, add tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli powder and green chillies. curry leaves.

Cook all the ingredients add mashed lentil scum, reduce to low heat, simmer, stirring at regular intervals,  . Continue to simmer. 

 add salt mix and now add gongura leaves mix will cook till oil oozes out.
