Masala Bread Rolls

Masala bread rolls is excellent home made fresh baked bread flavored with a mix of crushed cumin, chili flakes, dill leaves and chopped coriander.

Ingredients


  • 4 bread slices, bread should be firm 
  • 2 medium size potatoes boiled peeled and mashed this will make about 1-1/4 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup green peas boiled
  • 1 teaspoon oil 
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mango powder (amchoor)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro (hara dhania)
  • 1 green chili (hari mirch) minced; adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • Oil to fry


 Method:
Take a bowl add water, salt, sugar, active east, mix this and add all purpose flour, crushed cumin, chilly flakes, green chilly chopped, dill leaves, chopped coriander, mix it well and knead the dough for 5 minutes, rest it for 5 minutes after that add butter and knead the dough for 3 to 4 minutes, rest it for 30 minutes, then punch it and knead the dough and again rest it for 20 minutes, divide the dough into equal portions, make a roundels, transfer to the baking tray and cover with muslin cloth rest it for 15 to 20 minutes, then apply water wash on top, bake them at 200c for 20 to 25 minutes, then apply the melted butter on top of the baked masala balls.
