INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 lb okra or 250gm bhandi
- 11/2 tsp oil
- 1/8 tsp asafetida (hing)option
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, adjust to taste
- 1/2tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp salt adjust to taste
- 1/2tsp mango powder (amchoor)
- 1 tsp gram flour (basen) optional
Method
Cut the bhindi in to small piece, put 2 tp of oil in non stick pan and cumin seed asafetida fry onion till it become brown then put okra bhandi , fry it till it become little soft cover the pan lid for 2 min then haldi(turmeric), red chilly, salt mango pd(amchoor) Gram floor (basen) and fry for few min don't let the masala to burn, fry bhandi on low flame and see that bhandi is dry no water to it or if water is there bhandi becomes sticky so the bhandi is fried. if u don't want amchoor u can omit,no need for deep fry.so the bhandi is ready. u can have with chapati.
