Crab Masala

Ingredients
  • 1 kg crab
  • 4 tsp red chilli
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp zeera
  • 12 pepper corn
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tsp tamarind
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp coconut
  • Salt of taste
To finish the dish
  • 1/2 cup of vinegar
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 2 big onion
  • 2 lemon juice
  • tamarind (optional)
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Sugar a pinch
  • 1 spring onion, chopped
Method
          Soak the masala ingredients in half a cup of vinegar for around 2 hour or over night.
Then put then in wet masala grinder and make fine paste.
           Marinate the cleaned and cut crabs into salt ,turmeric and chili pd and keep aside
Finely chop the onion.Soak the tamarind ball in warm water to turn it into pulp.
Heat the oil in fry pan shallow fry method add finely chopped onions and cook over medium flame until they turn dark brown.
            Add the marinated crabs and stir fry slow flame for 5 mins 
            Add the masala paste to crabs and continue to stir fry.Check the salt,add sugar and tamarind pulp.
Cook the crabs until the paste and crabs water turns semi dry and oil begins to separate.
Finish with chopped spring onion.Serve hot with steamed rice.
