Achari Gosh

Achari Gosh. Its an Indian curry which tastes little like pickle. Achar means pickle. Goes well with rice, chappati, phulka, roti. Achari Gosht is a Mutton dish cooked in Mustard oil with onion seeds, fennel and fenugreek seeds.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs lamb
  • 1  bell pepper green
  • 1/2 tsp chironji
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • cumin seeds
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1  ginger
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp kalonji
  •  1  lemon
  •  methi seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • as per the taste salt
  • 1/2 tsp saunf
  • pinch pinch sugar
  • 1/2 tsp till seeds
  • pinch pinch turmeric powder
  • as needed water
  • 1/2 tsp zeera


 Method

• Take a pressure cooker add oil,onion,salt cook till the onions are brown color then add ginger garlic paste,turmeric mix well now add mutton.

• Now add little water,coriander powder,red chilli powder mix well and close it with the lid and cook till mutton is tender.

• Now for the achari powder take a pan add methi seeds,mustard seeds,jeera,kalungi, saunf,chironji, till,mix all well till they are fried and blend them.

• Take the same pan add oil cumin seeds,methi seeds,kalonji,blended paste,cook it the oil loses out now add the gravy of lamb which was cooked in the pressure cooker let it cook.
