People who are found of eating sweet very much should try this because it contains high sugar content in the form of syrup. That will satisfy them for sure.
It is sold at every sweet store in India and make good profit out if it.
I enjoy watching the way it is deep fried and the designs which forms after you squeeze the flour bag.
Ingredients
- 30 grams cornflour
- 1 cup curd
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 100 grams Maida
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Sufficient Oil to fry
- Pinch saffron color
- 1 cup sugar
- as needed water
Method
1. Take a bowl add curd mix well then add maida flour, cornflour mix well to avoid lumps then add food color,Hot oil and mix again.
2. Batter should be pouring consistency set a side for 24hr to ferment.
3. Take a bowl add sugar,water to make sugar syrup of 1 thread consistency add lime juice few drops in the syrup and keep it a side.Lemon juice is to prevent crystallization so just few drops.
4. Heat oil to fry jalebi, take a ziplog bag make a hole and pour the batter so that it can pass through.
5. Press the batter in the hot oil fry at a very low flame till golden brown color.
6. Remove from the oil drain the oil, immediately dip in the sugar syrup for a min and remove in a plate.
7. Serve hot!
