Iftar Special Hyderabadi Dal

Hyderabadi Iftaar Dal or Boiled Bengal gram at home

Ingredients:

Split Bengal gram (chana dal): 150 grams
Water: 350 ml
Chopped mint leaves: 1 ½ tablespoon
Chopped coriander: 1 ½ tablespoon
Whole green chillies: 2
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder: ½ teaspoon
Lemon: ½

Procedure:

1. Add washed split Bengal gram or chana dal to a pan. Add 350 ml of water.

2. Close the lid and cook on low flame till Bengal gram gets tender and till the water dries up.

3. Transfer this cooked bengal gram into a bowl.

4. Add chopped mint leaves, chopped coriander, thinly diced green chillies, lemon juice (approximately 1 tablespoon), salt and black pepper powder to the boiled dal.

5. Mix thoroughly.
