Moong Dal Pakoda
Ingredients
1 ½ cups split skinless green gram, soaked
1 medium onion, finely chopped
¼ cup fresh coriander, finely chopped
1 inch ginger
2 -3 green chillies
A pinch of asafoetida
A pinch of baking soda
1 teaspoon rice flour
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Method
1. Take green gram in a mixie jar. Add onions, coriander, ginger, green chillies, asafoetida, baking soda, rice flour, salt and grind to a coarse mixture.
2. Heat oil to deep fry.
3. Drop small portions of the batter into the oil and deep fry till golden brown and crunchy.
4. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with green chutney.
