INGREDIENTS:
Serves 4 to 6
·1 cup rice
·3 tablespoons ghee
·1 ¾ cup water
·2 tablespoons milk
·½ cup sugar
·1" piece of cinnamon stick
·¼ teaspoon of saffron threads
·½ teaspoon coarsely crushed cardamom seeds
·Pinch of salt
·3 tablespoons sliced or crushed pistachios and almonds
·1 tablespoon raisins
1 tsp chopped coconut
wash and boil rice and moong dal with 4 cups of water when the rice is almost cooked add milk and cook till rice is mashy
add sauted dryfruits and add jaggery and cook till rice pudding consistency
add chopped coconut and saffron
