there is a subtle difference between normal noodles recipe and veg hakka noodles recipe. firstly, the main difference between those two is the style of preparations. basically, this recipe is toss fried recipe wheres as noodles are stir fried recipe. secondly, hakka noodles is prepared using the thin rice noodles whereas noodles recipe can be prepared with any type of noodles. lastly hakka noodles are more spicier compared to the plain noodles recipe. hakka cuisine is uniquely identified for its spicy recipes it has to offer.

Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ML)
  • 2 pack rice noodles
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • 2 stem spring onion chopped
  • ½ carrot thinly sliced
  • ½ cup cabbage thinly shredded
  • 1 capsicum thinly sliced
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1-2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • ½ tsp pepper crushed
  • ¼ cup bean shoots optional
Instructions
  1. firstly, in a boiling water add 2 packs of rice noodles or any noodles of your choice.
  2. furthermore, stir once and get the water to boil. or cook as per instructions.
  3. drain the water completely, and keep aside.
  4. heat a large kadai with some oil.
  5. further, saute garlic and ginger.
  6. also saute onions and spring onions white on high flame.
  7. furthermore, add chopped vegges like carrot, cabbage and capsicum.
  8. saute till they shrink in size. do not over cook as the vegetables will loose the crunchiness.
  9. also add salt, soy sauce, vinegar and chilli sauce. give a good mix.
  10. further add the cooked noodles.
  11. then add crushed pepper and bean shoots.
  12. mix well. do not over mix as the noodles will break.
  13. finally, serve hakka noodles garnished with some fresh spring onions green.
