easy wheat bread recipe | whole wheat bread | wholemeal bread or atta bread

Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ML)
for homemade bread:
- 1 cup milk warm
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ tbsp dry yeast
- 3 cup wheat flour / atta
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ cup water as required
- ½ tsp butter to brush
for bread maker:
- 260 ml water
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2½ tbsp sugar
- 210 gm maida / plain flour
- 210 gm wheat flour / atta
- 1½ tsp dry yeast
Instructions
- firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup warm milk.
- also, add 2 tbsp sugar and ½ tbsp dry yeast. mix well.
- rest and allow the yeast to activate.
- further add 3 cup wheat flour, 1 tsp salt and 2 tbsp oil. mix well making sure everything is combined well.
- additionally, add ½ cup water and knead well.
- cover with cling wrap or moist cloth and rest for 2 hours.
- after 2 hours, the dough will double in size. knead again to a cylindrical shape.
- place the dough into greased bread loaf pan and press from all sides.
- cover and rest for 30 minutes or till dough rise just an inch above the loaf pan.
- brush the bread dough with milk to get golden brown colour while baking.
- place the bread loaf pan in preheated oven and bake at 180-degree celsius for 30 minutes.
- rub a tsp of butter on top of bread to make a soft and shiny crust.
- finally, serve whole wheat bread or atta bread with jam or make a sandwich.

- rest and allow the yeast to activate.

- take the dough on a flat surface and sprinkle some wheat flour to prevent from sticking.
- continue to knead till the dough turns light, airy, and chewy. fold the dough and tuck well.
- place the kneaded dough into greased bowl. cover with cling wrap or moist cloth and rest for 2 hours.
- after 2 hours, the dough will double in size.
- take the dough out and knead by folding from corners.
- roll into cylindrical shape, and flatten slightly.
