Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ML)
for homemade bread:
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp dry yeast
  • 3 cup wheat flour / atta
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup water as required
  • ½ tsp butter to brush
for bread maker:
  • 260 ml water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  •  tbsp sugar
  • 210 gm maida / plain flour
  • 210 gm wheat flour / atta
  •  tsp dry yeast
Instructions
  1. firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup warm milk.
  2. also, add 2 tbsp sugar and ½ tbsp dry yeast. mix well.
  3. rest and allow the yeast to activate.
  4. further add 3 cup wheat flour, 1 tsp salt and 2 tbsp oil. mix well making sure everything is combined well.
  5. additionally, add ½ cup water and knead well.
  6. cover with cling wrap or moist cloth and rest for 2 hours.
  7. after 2 hours, the dough will double in size. knead again to a cylindrical shape.
  8. place the dough into greased bread loaf pan and press from all sides.
  9. cover and rest for 30 minutes or till dough rise just an inch above the loaf pan.
  10. brush the bread dough with milk to get golden brown colour while baking.
  11. place the bread loaf pan in preheated oven and bake at 180-degree celsius for 30 minutes.
  12. rub a tsp of butter on top of bread to make a soft and shiny crust.
  13. finally, serve whole wheat bread or atta bread with jam or make a sandwich.

  8. place the kneaded dough into greased bowl. cover with cling wrap or moist cloth and rest for 2 hours.

  10. take the dough out and knead by folding from corners.
